About

Hi! I am a graduate from Boston University's School of Music. I have about 5 years of piano experience, as well as three years teaching in beginner's piano. I have experience with student of all ages, including adults. My goal is to create a safe and positive environment for students to learn and enjoy the piano. I teach students with little to no experience. I look forward to working with you!

My favorite part about teaching piano lessons is being able to share something I have a passion for, and seeing others excited for it as well. I enjoy teaching adults because I can help them achieve what is usually a life-long dream. I enjoy teaching kids because I can see their potential, and hope they'll find passion from what I share with them. All in all, I enjoy being able to share my abilities and passion with my community, in hopes I can inspire someone else.

Frequently asked questions

I always try to find what will suit each individual student best. I know that there are many ways of learning, and some people respond better to certain methods than others. Typically at a beginner's stage, I don't start with teaching entire pieces, but I always try to keep whatever music or exercises we do interesting, as a way to keep the student engaged. I never teach two students the same way, because everyone is different and has their own way of learning.

I have four years of music theory experience, five years of piano performance experience, and two years experience teaching beginner's lessons. I have graduated from Boston University's School of Music. In addition, I have have done performance volunteer work, and had an internship at a music recording studio in Tampa for a summer. I worked for Boston Public schools after graduating, but found preference in private lessons and taking pride in my one-on-one teaching skills.

Typically I charge $60/30 mins, $70/45 mins, and $80/60 mins. Restricted flexibility applies.

My grandfather had always wanted to learn piano, and when he got sick and had to stop working I began to teach him. Being able to bring him so much joy and sharing my interest with him and others is what started me teaching. Now I am teaching private lessons full time and look forward to sharing more music.

I have worked with all ages and levels of students. I have experience and comfort teaching students 5-90. I also have experience teaching students with special needs.

Hire a teacher who truly has a passion for music. In my experience, having a passionate teacher makes for a much better learning experience and enjoyment of the instrument/subject.

Some typical questions a teacher might ask would be about what kind of music you're interested in learning, duration/frequencies of lessons, what kind of experience you already have, available equipment, and lesson location.
