What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Before the first lesson, there is a free consultation call where students can share their previous experiences and goals for the future. Lessons are scheduled to match the availability of each student.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Dr. Claussen holds Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate degrees in piano performance.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Prices are based on the length of each lesson as well as whether the lesson is online or in-person. Students can save 10% by prepaying a full year of instruction. Have more than one student in the family? There is a discount for that too!
What types of students have you worked with?
Dr. Claussen teaches students of all ages from 5 years old to senior adults.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you have a connection with the instructor. Motivation is a key element of successful music study. If your instructor does not motivate you and encourage you to improve your skills, you will quickly lose interest.
