Mary Jo's Performing Arts Academy (MJPAA), founded in 1982, serves Tampa, Florida and surrounding areas. Recognized as a leader in Dance, Acting, Voice, and Music education for over 40 years, MJPAA has blossomed under the leadership of Artistic Director Mary Jo Scanio into a premier training facility in the southeast region. Named one of the top 50 dance schools in the U.S in 2004, MJPAA offers a range of disciplines and levels, fostering self-confidence, creativity, and discipline in students. The Academy prides itself on producing not just successful artists but well-rounded individuals who excel in life.
