About
I have almost two decades of teaching experience on top of a doctorate in how to teach singing. I even teach singers to become singing teachers!
I have helped hundreds of students unlock their voices and grow their talent.
I am fortunate to teach almost 1000 voice lessons each year - I guarantee I can help you sing clearer, louder, stronger, more comfortably, and above all, beautifully.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I talk with students about their goals for lessons and together we create a plan to acomplish those goals. Some students need inspiration, some students need direction, some students just need a tune up. Everyone is different!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have earned a Doctorate in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance. There are only a handful of schools in the US that offer this degree. I know more about the voice than your average joe! I also work with doctors and therapists to help singers recover their voices after poor technique has caused damage.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Please see my webside for the most up to date pricing and any special discounts that I sometimes run.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching at Florida State University as a graduate assistant in the music theater department. By the way, those students went on to sing on Broadway and stages across the country.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have helped singers of every style and genre. I have a special place in my heart for classical and musical theater styles, but I have also helped rockers, screamers, singer-songwiters, folk artists, choristers, and gospel musicians to find freedom, comfort, power, and ease in their singing voices.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look at the credentials and LISTEN TO THEM SING!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about your short and long term goals. Are you preparing for a show or audition? You may need more intensive study over a short period of time. Are you busy, but want an outlet? Maybe you only need one lesson a week.
