About
Ive been a professional musician Pianist/Singer for over 40 years. It's my career and I have done suprisingly well at it. I am a self taught muscian that learned music fundimentals after the fact, with a BA in Music performance, theory, and history. I am what they call a natural, but believe that for those who may not have been blessed, the basics are where we start. The John Thompson method of Piano Studies, while geared toward the children, is just as good a place to start for a solid ground of understanding the basics of music in general...
Parents: Make sure the kids want to learn to play, not that you want them to suffer the agony you went through when your parents forced you, and it wasn't "your thing". A child who wants to learn is a welcome thing, but a child forced to learn against "their" will, is a waste of time...
You can find me all over You Tube, just put my name in the search box, and you will see hundreds of videos of me doing what I love, perfoming for everyone.
Have a great day and practice, practice, practice...

It is an extension of who I am...It's a gift God has given me, and if I can share it with others, then All is Well....

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Find out where their talent lies, do they have a sense of pitch? Do they like to sing? What do they like as their interpretation of music?
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
4 years of music theory/music appreaciation/and many other things that college has taught me, but as a real musician that does this for a living, pure music, like life, is a one on one coversation.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes, I hope to charge 3 million for the first lesson, and hope I get a chance at two. What a stupid question, but thanks for asking...
How did you get started teaching?
Never, really. I taught when I got out of college for a month, and some of the students didn't want to learn it, so I left and went into performing. I think my first student might teach me more than my college years ever did!
What types of students have you worked with?
None....
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Recent? Next question please...
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone that vibrates to the music within you...
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Do you really want to learn? Is one doing this as their choice, or someone else's? It's a very important question. I did it at "gunpoint" when I was a kid, and it irratated me and almost soured me on music...
