About

Our training is focused on showing each student what is going to work in a real world setting. Application is the key

to knowing you will be able to handle yourself when the time comes. We spar weekly, showing you how to apply each belt level's techniques, in a real time setting. We believe if you don't train at full speed in class, when the real world comes at you "full speed", you will not succeed.

We practice a blended martial art based on the Korean Style of Tang Soo Do. We add Small Circle Jui Jitsu, Modern Arnis (Filipino Stick Fighting), and pressure point application to create a system that can attack and defend at all ranges. Many schools today focus primarily on the ground fighting, since much is said about most fights ending up there. We feel that focusing on a single range of fighting is extremely limiting, so we train to take advantage of ALL the ranges, not just 20%.

White belts will join the class with all other colored belts.  We start the class with warmups and stretching them move right into the material: Punches, kicks, blocks, forms, one-steps, Escrima (stick practice), pressure point application, and end the class with sparring.

I was bullied at an early age and my Mother wanted to learn to defend myself. I saw such a dramatic change in my self confidence I have been teaching since I earned my instructors certification.

I have worked with children from the ages of 5 to adults over 70 years old.  We adjust the style to work for each students physical capabilities.

Always do a background check on any instructor you are going to work with.  Ask for credentials in the systems they are going to train you in.  If they can't produce them, find another instructor.  Most importantly, ask for references from past students.  If an instructor will not give references of past students, I would move on.

What is your ultimate goal for taking Martial Arts?  Does the school you are interested in line up with those goals.  Check the pricing, many martial arts "Businesses" these days charge astronomical fee for everything from monthly dues, to equipment, to testing.
