I am an elementary music teacher going into my fifth year of experience. I am passionate about music so much that I've practically been doing it my whole life through singing and playing the piano. I love seeing my students reaching their goals because it is confirmation to my work.

I find out if they have any music experience, but lack of experience doesn't disqualify.

I have a bachelor's in music which includes piano pedagogy.

How did you get started teaching?
I have done some piano lessons shortly after graduating from college. My ultimate goal is to own my own studio.

Mainly upper elementary to high school, beginning to late intermediate.

I haven't taught private lessons in a while, but being a teacher I am fond of introducing students to beginning keyboard and/or piano skills.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure that the teacher can challenge you to do your best so you can be the best player you can be.
