Piano Teacher In Gainesville, Georgia
About
I have been teaching piano lessons for over 20 years now. I have started out with three students and the most I have taught at one time has been close to 30 students. I travel to my students, mostly, but I have a few that come to me, here in downtown Gainesville. I majored in music at UNG, and then transferred out to BYU, but the decided to go on a church mission to the Ukraine. While in the Ukraine, I put on a small concert for the people there. I have one to two piano recitals a year. I teach out of the piano adventures book series. My name is also at the Lancaster's Music Store here in Gainesville. I teach music theory, ear training, composing, chords, and much more! I also have a fun approach to learning, so let me be your piano coach for the future!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I have a new student, I try to be fun. We set goals and go at the pace the student sets. Learning is fun, so I make it very fun, packed with games each week. I also expect my students to practice and work hard during the week. Progress is the best!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I majored in Music at UNG. I took flute and piano all throughout elementary school up to high school, and even into college. Music is very important to me.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I do charge $20.00 per 30 minute lessons once a week.
How did you get started teaching?
I play piano for my church, and so one day, I had one of the members call me up and ask me to teach their children piano lessons, because they had thought I played very well. So, I got into teaching, and have loved it every since!

I have worked with students as young as 4 years old up to 70 years old. I have worked with ADD children, as well as mild autistic children. I work with all sorts of people.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I love our Recitals we have every year! It gives all my students a chance to show off what they had been working on the past few months. It's a great sense of accomplishment for everyone, the students, parents, and even a proud teacher!
