About

I provide basketball and fitness training for all levels.

My training philosophy is based on three things. Teaching a well rounded skill set, progressing from the fundamentals to the advanced skills at an appropriate pace, and integrating fitness training with basketball skills.

I teach a system that can be scaled to meet all levels. That includes children learning the basics, middle school or high school players looking to make the team or get more playing, or highly competitive athletes looking to earn a college scholarship or go pro.

Coach Rodman is a fantastic coach, and we are very happy have been able to have him with with our son. He does a great job blending fitness, footwork, technique, and basketball strategy into his sessions. He truly cares about what he does and it shows with his professionalism, communication, and consistency.

    Frequently asked questions

The first portion of the session is diagnostic, first I want to assess the current skill level of the student. Then I teach the fundamentals skills of all aspects of basketball and fitness including ballhandling, shooting, defense, passing, and post game. Depending on how far along the student is I make the drills progressively more challenging.

I have worked at a team manager for a division 1 basketball program, a head coach for middle school and high school teams, and an assistant coach for a prep school.
75$ for an hour session, 90$ for an hour and a half (combined fitness and basketball, 110$ for a 2 person session, 150$ for 3, 200$ for 4 or more, 335$ for 5 sessions, 600$ for 10 sessions
I began as a manager for Georgia Southerns basketball program where I studied from high level coaches and learned the operations of a D1 program. Over the next several years I coached middle school, high school and prep school basketball.
I’ve worked with basketball players on nearly every level. This includes college athletes, high school and middle school athletes, children learning the basics and adults looking to get in shape by playing basketball
A client came to me with almost no basketball experience or basic coordination. We gradually built his coordination and basketball skills, and he ended up making the middle school team. What’s even more important is that his overall confidence and social skills have improved since joining the team.
Find a teacher who teaches skills appropriate to your level. Find a teacher who can help you build confidence, but also provide constructive criticism. The confidence should be built through consistent practice and overcoming challenges.
Figure out what you want and more importantly what you are willing to do to get there. Some play basketball just for fun. Some want to play in high school and that’s it. Other’s want to play in college, others dream of going pro. Someone who just wants to have fun might only need to practice occasionally, someone who wants to play in high school will need to practice more consistently. Someone who wants to play in college will need to make a lot of sacrifices and work very hard, very consistently and for a very long. Someone who wants to go pro, will need the right combination of talent, luck and extreme work ethic. One path is not automatically better or worse than the other, you just have to understand what each path requires.
