Hello, my name is Etsuko tomeda. I am dedicated to helping all my students pursue their musical goals. I have been teaching in Tucker GA since 1999.
I focus on cultivating my students' growth based on their individual levels and needs. By listening to their concerns, I work with them patiently and keep lessons productive and fun. I have helped some of my students win awards in local competitions. If you are motivated to challenge a higher goal in piano study, I can help you. If you used to learn and wish to start again with your own pace, I would be happy to take comfortable steps with you.
It is my strong wish that my students develop an enduring interest in music that will motivate them to explore new materials by themselves and continue to cherish playing music.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BA in Music. I studied piano pedagogy and hold the degree in Music (piano performance). I study jazz and perform classical and jazz professionally.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching at a local music school right after I graduated from the music academy and receive the degree in Japan.
What types of students have you worked with?
Beginners (young children & adults) upt to advance level students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Annual student recital in November 2016.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Educational background. Strong motivation for teaching, studying and possibly performing.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Their musical goal. Level of commitment (how much and often you can create practice sessions at home).
