What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We start from the very bare bones beginning. A small bit of music theory goes a long way. We discuss the alphabet of music which is used for every instrument. Making the learning experience fun and very easy to understand.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Jazz studies at Alameda College in California. Masters Degree in Business and Marketing. Professional performing musician for over 20 years.

Standard lessons are $125 per month for 1 30 minute lesson per week.
How did you get started teaching?
I was a student teacher in high school. After having success teaching my friends I moved to strangers and boom! It took off from there.
What types of students have you worked with?
Ages 6 to76. People of all ages and walks of life. All beginners welcome. Taught middle and high school band.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
One of my students is now in the 6th grade but playing high school level music. All of my students excel and progress quickly with the help of their parents.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone with years of teaching and performing experience.
