About
I have moved my teaching over to Skype and I'm currently on my 7th year of teaching online exclusively and a total of 24 years of teaching experience. I really feel Skype is the new classroom for private lessons and to prove that I offer your FIRST LESSON FREE.
Since my lessons are on Skype I am able to reach anyone in the U.S. for quality lessons on high-speed internet.
The first lesson is free and I am always in communication with the student ahead of time learing about their current playing level, goals, age and the types of music they like.
My students are requesting a huge variety of genres such as: Pop, Metalcore, Country, Jazz, Funk, K-Pop, Blues, Reggae, Shred, Indie, Folk, Classical etc...as well as music theory, songwriting, improvisation, technique and note reading. So basically Taylor Swift to Flamenco.
The free lesson insures that the internet connection is solid and the the student is comfortable. We get a chance to meet each other and do some playing!
It is my job to relate to the student and make them happy providing a productive, focused and fun learning environment.
I enjoy seeing my students progress and reach their goals. It is my job and responsiblity to put them on a productive path so they are gaining confidence as they advance.
Learning to play at whatever level is faced with challenges and I really enjoy being able to coach the student through difficult periods of learning and demostrating solutions to common obsticles a student will encounter as they learn.
It's very important for me to see that the student is challenged but not overwhelmed and that managelbe practice goals are set so the student actually enjoys the learning process.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I offer a free lesson to make sure that I understand the students level and what it is they want to learn in lessons. I have students who are playing as a hobby and putting in less practice time than my serious students.
It's my job as a teacher to focus the worksheets and lesson content based on each student's individual goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Traditional and modern music theory, rhythmic studies, 4 years of private study with Ted Greene. I am very curious about all stlyles of music and like to figure out the theory behind it.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes, I have a discounted structure for my lessons:
1 single 30 minute lesson = $30.00
4 30 minute lessons = $110.00
8 30 minute lessons = $215.00
