I will make sure my all students understand the music theory, how to count the beats, and how to play the piano with proper Danamics.
I have been playing the piano for 20years. I studied the piano from South Korea and here in Hawai'i.
I like working with children and youth. Because they are so pure and I believe that each individual can able to learn and be a good puano player.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, check their level by watching and listening their playing piano.Also,simple test for music theory and notes.
Next, choose the proper lesson books it can be up to 4-5books at a time ("Lesson book, performance book, technic book, and music theory book)
Then, give lessons and every week give student's assignments so they can practice what they have learned from the instructor each week.
The students should practice at least 3-4times a week about 30mins per day.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I studied Fine art at College and Special education.Currently, I am working at DOE school as 1:1instructor for who needs extra support for learning academic skills and life skills. My college major was not the Music honestly. However, I learned the piano for Long time since I was in elementary through Adulthood because i love playing the piano and teaching the piano and math. I have been playing the piano for over 20years. I like teaching kids and youth as usual and my previous piano teacher who is a instructor at school of music University of Hawaii manoa, confirmed that I can able to teach the piano for young children through Adult. I teach the piano my own child 10years old one almost every day since when he was a 7 year old. I play classic piano, church music, and some jazz too.
