About

While becoming a better musician is a desirable outcome, my first priority is to instill a love and enjoyment for music making in each of my students. Everyone has personal goals for music and I'm here to help guide them on a path to achieve those goals. Physical health is of the upmost importance to me, so I instruct with that in mind.

I love working with all ages and all levels, whether it be playing on rhythm instruments with preschoolers or diving into musical details with advanced students. Musical theatre is my favorite style to perform and teach, and was my main focus in higher education.

Ashley always explained everything and provided examples during lessons. She also connects with her students on a personal level by showing interest in their interests. Happy, outgoing and energetic lessons with positivity are a win for us.

Ashley is an amazing teacher. My girls enjoy their lessons and it’s been encouraging to watch them improve over the last year. I would highly recommend Ashley as a voice or piano instructor.

    Frequently asked questions

For the first lesson, I love to learn about the student's music experience, their goals, and other likes and dislikes. I usually ask new students to come in with a song prepared so that I can hear their voice and get to know their personality more as well. From there, we will pick songs that are enjoyable and will promote growth!

In 2021, I graduated Cum Laude with my B.A. in Music Education and Vocal Performance, along with a minor in Technical Theatre, from Concordia University Irvine. In 2019, I was initiated into Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Honors Leadership Society. During my time at Concordia, I studied under both classical and contemporary vocal instructors and was a part of a variety of ensembles (jazz, Americana, women's choir, mixed choir, and chamber music). I served as one of two departmental music tutors for two years and was an intern for one of the music professors as well. For my senior thesis, I studied and researched how to teach musical theatre technique to adolescents healthily. I ended my time there with my senior lecture recital, which explored musical theatre vocal technique from late 1800s to modern day.

I offer private lessons, group classes, and monthly packages.
