The Arlington School of Music®, a Division of the Arlington Institute of Music and the Performing Arts is the Oldest, independently owned Music Conservatory in Illinois, and the oldest business in downtown Arlington Heights, Illinois founded in 1930 and chartered in 1936.
The Arlington School of Music® will help you establish a strong base of Technique, Theory, and Practical Application to your chosen instrument. We specialize in teaching Children of all ages from four (4) years old to adults. Our dedicated music teachers are highly trained professionals inspiring each individual child to love playing and singing while having fun, developing the important skills needed for future success.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We invite all of our new students, young to senior, into a beautifully designed modern Conservatory of Music. We immediately start them on their prospective insturment (we even teach Bagpipes !) in classically adorned, well sunlite studios, each with a Baby Grand Piano making music making comfortable and rewarding. Each Faculty member, true Professinal Concert Performers, in their own right, renders hands on, one-on-one training, to achieve the best and fastest results. Our famous Guitar Dept. video records each lesson every week for the student to study in their homes, enabling the student to master the most popular instrument in the World. How did you get started teaching?
My name is Nico Angel, Director and Faculty Head of the Guitar Dept. of the Arlington School of Music. Studying in Spain and Mexico, in my earlier years, I have been teaching for Fifty (50) years, as well as, touring North and South America with the "Pascual Olivera and Angela del Moral Spanish Ballet". Ive appearded on TV, radio on WFMT and at Orchestra Hall in Chicago. I've toured with Spain's greatest Flamenco Guitarist...Paco de Lucia in the Southeast United States. My passion is Guitar and the Performing Arts and can teach all levels from beginning to Concert level students
