About
We offer classes on a variety of instruments, including Guitar (Electric, Acoustic, Rhythmic, Bass, Ukele), Drumset, Percussion and Piano. We are more affordable than other schools and offer in depth teaching, starting from the foundations, including proper techniques and music theory.
You will really learn how to play!
We enjoy that I get to teach an instrument we love. Sitting one on one with students who are excited about music and learning, is a great feeling, but also building relationships with the students and watching them grow as musicians and individuals.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Prior to making any commitment, we first offer a free evaluation lesson. At this lesson, the student will get to know the instructor, our teaching philosophy, and do some playing. We will also go over lesson objectives and expectations. At Breaking Grounds in Music, we want to make sure any prospective student who walks in our doors is fully comfortable with our instructors!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All our teachers are trained, educated, and qualified. We have the capacity to teach students of all ages and playing levels. In addition to our credentials and education, the instructors at Breaking Grounds in Music have ample performing experience.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes we do. If the lesson is well received by the student after the free evaluation, we would start regular weekly lessons. Our prices are the following: $25.00 for a 1/2 hour weekly lesson. $35.00 for a 45 minute weekly lesson. $40.00 for a 1 hour weekly lesson. Students can prepay at the beginning of every month or during the lesson. Students must notify the instructor at least 24 hours in advance of a cancellation.
What types of students have you worked with?
We have worked with students ranging from 5 years old, all the way to mature adults and parents. Our student base is also very diverse as we have students from many different ethnic backgrounds.
