Eagle & Dragon Martial Arts Academy

My love for martial arts & fitness started with boxing at a early age and before moving to St. Louis I started a boxing club (Alexandria Boxing Club) in my hometown of Alexandria, VA. I have studied various martial arts, earned a blackbelt in Uechi-Ryu and have studied Tae Ryu Jitsu Karate for more than 20 years. I'm very proud that we have builded a community martial arts school (dojo) that has earned an A+ rating with BBB.

Eagle & Dragon Martial Arts Academy (EDMAA) teaches more than martial arts. We teach children to be productive citizens and to prepare them for life; our programs are structured for the growing minds of learning children, they will learn to develop discipline, focus, courtesy, build respect for others, motor & communication skills, and basically help them to become well rounded. That is what we feel makes our dojo unique as we develop the child's social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth.

We at EDMAA feel that any and all ages from 2 to 92 will benefit from our programs. Starting with our Tae Ryu Jitsu Karate system; It's a art of empty hands fighting, it is a free style art, that everyone will find it easy to learn and our instructors willing to take the time to teach all of the basic movements and techinques. Our training methods and willingness to explain the basic principles behind our style of self-defense, you will find second to none.
