Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
There is no typical process. Every student is different and has their own unique goals and needs. My job is to find out what that is from the beginning to help them get to where they want to be.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 20 years of experience. I have done extensive schooling along with lessons from multiple instructors. I have released two albums one with (The Monarch) and one with (Empyrean Sanctum), and continue to do so. I have experience with studio work and recording, and I also have experience with live performance as well.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$60for a full hour
longer time slots can be worked out as well.
How did you get started teaching?
Passion. I love what I do, and people noticed this early on. People have come to me to learn pretty early on. So I decided to offer my knowledge to others.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with children, all the way up to adults. I've worked with beginner all the way up to advanced touring musicians.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
As cheesy as it may sound, every day that I'm doing music related work whether it's my own music or helping others achieve their goals, puts me in a great mood.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure that the instructor is fully aware of your goals, and is capable of helping you reach them. Be cautious of guitar chains that follow the same ciriculum for all students and only want your money.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
To ask themselves what it is they want to achieve.
