The Blanks Studio exists to provide vocal training, education, creative guidance, and empowerment for music lovers and aspring performers We are a private contracting teaching studio that teaches voice in a variety of styles (classical, jazz, music theater, pop/rock) and formats (private lessons, studio classes, online lessons). We aim to fill a need for a studio that teaches understanding beyond studied repertoire, to music theory/history, technique, practical application, and community outreach/enrichment. Our business aims to serve all ages, including those pursuing a passion or continuing education.
I love helping a student experience a sense of accomplishement whether it's a technical breakthrough or in the clear communication of the words they're singing.
I have ten years of experience teaching voice lessons and in that time I've taught countless students who won competitions, lead roles in musicals, and went on to persue a career in the arts.
Additionally I have ten years of my own professional performing experience both in the opera world and musical theatre.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I first get to know a new student it is very important to me to find out what music they like. This can often narrow in on some of their goals and open us up to other songs that might be a good fit. If I don't know the music a student alreadly listens to I will take the time to listen to that music and make suggestions for similar songs that would be good for us to work on together.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been teaching voice lessons for 10 years! Both my Bachelor's and my Master's are in Vocal Performance and I have extensive performance experience in the opera and musical theatre world.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Voice Lessons are $44 for 30 minutes or $88 for 60 minutes.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching right out of grad school in a music studio. Eventually I went off on my own renting my own space for students to come to me.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages and levels! 6-80+ beginner to advanced. I really thrive when working with students who are passionate about a performance career in the arts.
