I enjoy introducing children to the world of music. Music is an emotional outlet and develops mental function. Playing an instrument creates the sense of a purpose and disciplines the child.
Taisiya is an excellent viola teacher. She tailors the lessons to your goals and makes sure to emphasize your strengths while providing careful feedback on your weaknesses. She is great at explaining concepts and can always provide a nice demonstration of techniques while explaining them well enough to try myself. She also puts a lot of effort into organizing studio recitals so that students can showcase what they've been working on every few months.
Taisiya has been wonderful with my eight year old daughter! Her violin instruction is technically solid yet she also finds way to make the lessons fun. I’ve noticed a lot of progress with my daughter, as she is excited to play, and even practice! Taisiya relates well to her, inspires her and has a lovely personality. She’s also very easy to work with and willing to be flexible at times to accommodate our family’s crazy schedule!
She is incredibly patient and very good at communicating and connecting with her students. She has been a big motivator for my daughter, who was ready to quit violin lessons. An excellent teacher I highly recommend.
The teachers at Play Music Chicago were all incredibly helpful and generous with their time and knowledge. I really enjoyed working with them, and my playing definitely improved greatly thanks to them.
