About

The Cary-Grove Performing Arts Centre was established in 1999 to educate children and adults about the arts, develop their skills as well as their self-esteem, have fun and give students practical skills for life.

We offer instructional dance, music and theatre classes for all ages.

I have 3 voice, 3 piano, 1 acting, 1 yoga and 10 dance teachers that work with me to provide an all encompassing performing arts training facility for youth and adults. This is an incredibly rewarding collaboration.

My son has been working with Brenna Boncosky for a year now. We have seen a dramatic improvement in both his voice and confidence. She chooses songs that both match his voice and personality. We are looking forward to Brenna coaching him again his year.

Both of my children have enjoyed the privilege of taking piano lessons at the studio. The instruction is top notch, and is tailored to the needs and abilities of each student. Twice a year, we look forward to witnessing the incredible progress that they have made. Highly recommend!

    Frequently asked questions

We are happy to meet with and/or talk to prospective students to help with the best placement.

All of our music teachers have a minimum of a bachelor's in music.  Most have been teaching private lessons for 5-20 years.

Private music lessons are $25/ 30 minute lesson for school year 2016-2017.

Our studio was formed as a way to integrate dance, music and theatre training to help create well rounded performers.  We love the collaborative relationship of our teachers!

Piano students generally from 6 to adult, all levels (primer to advanced)

Voice students generally 12 for girls and 14 for boys as a minimum, thru adults.  We choose to work with students who have started having vocal change before studying indivudually.

Dance students from 2 to adult.

    Acting students from 6-15.

We have teen beginning dance classes which really sets us apart.  This allows singers and pianists who might be interested in starting a ballet, tap, jazz or hip hop class start as a teenager with other teenagers!

In addition to training classes we have a student service program that helps charities in our area.  Kind of like having student council at a performing arts studio :)  Our students have done service projects raising $3-5,000 each year for the past 10 years!

For voice and piano teachers, I think having someone who makes you want to do your best and doesn't make you feel embarassed to go out of your comfort zone. It's a really personal relationship!  A good teacher will make you feel suported when your voice or fingers fail you :)

Why do you want to take lessons?

What immediate and long term goals do you have?

Hoe much time are you willing to put in on your own each week to work on the lesson material?
