My piano and guitar lessons will provide you with information that a lot of teachers do not share with their students. One example, how do you know which chord you should play with a particular note?
I have a great passion for music. I love sharing that passion and providing my music knowledge with people. I love seeing my students successfully play the music I've taught them. Teaching is one of the most fulfilling things I've ever done.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Because I teach beginning students who have no musical experience, I sit down with each new student to let them know what they can expect to learn while studying with me. This includes but is not limited to music theory, how to both sight read and play by ear. And, if the student has an interest, I will teach them performance and recording techniques.
During this initial consultation, I find out what type of music excites them. Although, I will focus primarily on teaching them the music they love, I will also teach them how to play all types of music - including classical, flamenco, etc.

Bachelor of Music at Columbia College in Chicago.
Music Theory Certificate from Berklee College Online.
