About
My lesson plans are highly customized to each student's specific needs, strengths, weaknesses and desires. I am devoted to getting 100% satisfaction from students and parents, and we reach their goals together. They will find more devotion and personalization with me than with any other instructor.
I also make sure that my students are having FUN. Making music should be enjoyable! I believe that this is one of the most important tools for helping children and adults learn. With each musician there should be feelings of accomplishment, pride, relaxation, passion, and enjoyment while playing the piano! And I take it upon myself to keep those sensations alive.
I love to see the pride and joy in my student's faces when they have finally accomplished their masterpieces. Nothing makes me happier than when my students succeed in the art of piano and enjoy themselves doing so.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I get to know their learning styles, strengths, needs, and the types of music they enjoy. I get to know the pace at which they learn and make sure they are enjoying themselves!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been studying piano relentlessly for 13 years. I've been composing for 8 years. I also play guitar, ukulele, and I sing!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $20 for each 30 minute lesson, $28 for each 45 minute lesson, and $35 for each 60 minute lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
A friend in high school asked me if I could teach, and then I fell in love!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages, from ages 4-72, from all different backgrounds. I have experience working with students with both intelectual disabilities (such as autism asnd mental retardation), learning disabilities (such as dyslexia and ADHD) and mental illness (such as OCD and anxiety).
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Do your research! Compare prices, experience, friendliness, compatibility, etc. And please have a piano or 88-key weighted keyboard purchased before you are ready to begin lessons.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Practice makes perfect! Are you ready to commit to practicing a 4-5 days a week, and are you ready to commit to having weekly piano lessons? This is the key to success in learning to love music!
