Julie does a great job of settling achievable expectations while nurturing students to become better violinists. She has a wonderful studio adjacent to her home that makes lessons really easy and private. She was wonderful for both our daughters, one a violinist the other a violaist (she even learned the viola to teach our youngest).

Julie is very knowledgeable about music theory and teaching practices. She is very positive and motivating for my 7 year old child. She always knows the right thing to say or technique/teaching strategy to introduce to help my daughter keep on progressing each week. We couldn’t ask for a better teacher!

We’ve had 3 kids in lessons with Julie for several years. She’s wonderful: patient, talented, dedicated to teaching kids to play well. She’s also fun, funny, and nice to be around. The kids like her classes a lot.
