Afrim Shabani, piano instructor (Doctor of Education - Bradley University; Master of Music - Illinois State University; Bachelor’s in Music - Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville), is an Advanced Teacher Specialist in Piano, Theory, and History with the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM). In addition, he is certified by the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) as a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music in piano. He is a music faculty member at Heartland Community College. Currently, Dr. Shabani manages a sizeable private piano school in Bloomington/Normal. His students regularly participate in the RCM certificate program of music study. In addition, his studio participates in the IFMC Festival each year. In 2017, his student won the MTNA Illinois Composition Elementary Division. Call (618) 580-7155
