About
Hello, My name Is Acacia, but you can call me Chef K. I Specialize in American-Asian Fusion Cuisine, Southern Comfort Cuisine, and Vegetarian Cuisine as well as American and Classical French Desserts. I have an Associates in Baking and Pasrty as well as a Bachelors in Internaional and Nutritional Cooking. I also have 20 plus years of culinary experience working in fine dining and corporate dining facilities.
I like cooking , but I love to bake! My skill set is unique becuace I love to combined flavors that most people wouldn't put together. I love to work with children. Teaching kids to cook is one of my many passions. In this busy generation alot of single parents can not cook a full meal so I love to teach children how to cook easy meals for themselves and still be healthy. My 16 year old son is my sous chef and taste tester for all my recipes and he also can make a great pot of spaghetti. He has been in the kitchen with me since he was 3 years old. I'd love to be able to teach my skills to other children.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I work with a new student I like to make corny dad jokes to break the ice and the dive into getting to know somethings about their typical eating habits, if they have any dietary restrictions or allergy needs before we begin the lessons. Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard price per lesson is $200 per person or if its a group lesson $450 per group of 4 persons. This includes cost of food, travel time, lesson materials and instruction time.
How did you get started teaching?
I got statred teaching at my local church. I love teaching kids because I realized that many single parents were busy llike me and i was able to teach my son to be semi self sufficant so I gave a class at my church for the kids age 10 to 15 on how to cook good meals for themselves.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a teacher that you are going to have fun learning from. I find that the more fun you have the more likely you are to retain what you've learned.
