About
I am a touring and studio musician with 20 years in the indurstry. I went to school for music Ed and Jazz studies, a few years after I received my certificates in Music Business and Audio Recording and Production from MIW. I have been fortunate enough to touch stages and play festivals such as House of Blues, Joes, Ruido Fest, Fiesta del Sol and travel with national & international artists. I have recorded and produced a few albums in a multitude of genres.
I believe anyone can learn music but it takes the right approach in that process since not everyone learns the same way. Depending on what the goal is I help students expand their knowledge in their intruments, music theory, reading, composition, songwriting, recording, production, FL Studio and more. Every student I help with ear training and how to use this to their advantage.
I like seeing the growth in my students and being able to help bring forth the joy for music and the arts. "Music is meant to be shared".

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I do an assessment of where the student is and I take a look at what the goal is. From there I structure a lesson plan based on the goal and what needs to be accomplished.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I had three years of music education from College and I have taught private lessons and independent schools in my career.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Every lesson is different It all depends on the needs of the student. For example music lessons are not the same as music recording lessons since there is gear and other things involved.
How did you get started teaching?
I went to school for Music Ed and Jazz Studies for three years.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages but I do focus more so on adults wanting to continuing education in music. I get joy out of helping people return to music or further their knowledge in it. Not just music but various areas from creation of music to recording to advertising and distribution if that's the goal.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I remind all students that music is something that we need to keep working on and it takes time to see results but with focus and determination you can accomplish your goals. Much like a gym, it takes consistency in practice to create your outcome and see the results. Music is in big part a state of mind, be sure to have the right instructor that encourages you to be a better player today than you where yesterday and a better player tomorrow than you are today. Every step for big or small is the right one to meeting your musical goals as music is never ending. Much success to you.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
If they are willing to make a commitment of time to practice, even if it's a few minutes a day to practice. Often times people get dicouraged by the results but are unable to squeeze in a practice but remember, music is a fun way to decompress, change the perception from music being work to being fun and much to explore.
