My name is Kris and I play D1 tennis at Northern Illinois University, where I play both #1 Singes and Doubles. My lessons stand out because I can also play with my students as a great hitting coach on top of teaching them. I've been playing tennis since I was 5 and have played hundreds of USTA Junior tournaments, as well as compete in professional ones now. Some of my recent accomplishments include:
-MAC Newcomer of the Year
-1st Team All MAC.
-Ending my season above a 13 UTR.
With my background of playing, I have a thorough understanding of how the game is played at a high level, but also am equally effective in teaching the fundamentals of the game to beginners!
Teaching tennis for me is always something I enjoy doing because my love for tennis makes teaching it come second nature to me, while also being very fun at the same time!
Kris is amazing. I am a beginner player, that played growing up, but was years without any practice. Kris works a lot on the basic of the game, teaching you to have a good foundation, but he also makes the lesson a lot of fun. He work hard to identify any mistakes that you probably have, and even records you and study your movement outside the lesson. Finally, the price is very reasonable compared to other coaches in the area.
The first thing I do with new students is evaluate their playing ability and form. Making sure their technique and grips are correct is essential in progressing and improving their game!
I have played tennis since I was 5 years old and have played hundreds of USTA tournamts over my junior career. I also play D1 tennis at Northern Illinois University, playing #1 Singles and Doubles.
My rate per hour is $40.
I got started in teaching because I really enjoy helping people who care to get better and want to improve their game.
I have worked with everyone from young kids to adults, including all types of skill level.
Lots of high level playing experience and a thorough understanding of how the game works at both a low and high level.
Students should make sure they understand all their questions and get them ready for the lesson, so we can maximimize the time during it.
