About
Born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. I began my music education at the age of five at Yamaha Music School. I graduated from National Taipei Teacher College in 1991 and came to Chicago to pursue a Master's degree in Music Performance from Chicago College of Performing Arts at Roosevelt University. I am a certified music teacher in Illinois and have been providing piano and voice lessons at my studio and the local music schools since 1991. My dedication to providing quality music education has shown through students'performance each year. Many of them have fostered a love of music for life and decide to pursue music as their career choice.
I enjoy sharing the joy of music-making process with my students. During the lessons, we not only learn knowledge of music fundamentals but also working on fine motor and coordination skills, math and language skills, discipline and self-confidence. I have seen the benefits of playing piano impact my students' life and be proud of being a part of their success.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will conduct an assessment before our first lesson and discuss it with students and parents about my observation and plan. If the new students didn't have prior experience in playing the piano, I will instruct piano postures, hand posture, right hand/left hand, fingers, and basic playing technique and collect information about what they have known, what they need to learn, and their personality and learning style.
