My teaching is focused on assisting all piano students to achieve excellence in playing the piano and to improve their knowledge and understanding of Classical Music. In the process of accomplishing these two important goals, I strive to inspire, motivate and teach my students how to practice and study, how to mentally prepare to tackle any challenge, and how to be focused and disciplined in everything they strive to accomplish and master. I help them set realistic but challenging goals and then work tirelessly and patiently with them until they achieve those goals. Learning to play the piano requires an experienced teacher who is an expert in the field- someone who can provide customized age and level appropriate curriculum of study for each student, and guide them through their development into mature, advanced musicians.
i am excited to announce the opening of my new teaching and performance studio in downtown Chicago at the Fine Arts Building in November 2019. Now my students will have opportunities for MasterClasses and Workshops and special concert events.
Many of my students have gone on to pursue careers in music and have distinguished themselves in competitions and in performances at Carnegie Hall or on WFMT and as soloists with orchestra.
I am passionate about and dedicated teaching because I know that my own love and appreciation for Classical Music and all the knowledge and skills bestowed upon me from my own wonderful teachers will end with me if I do not impart my knowledge and expertise to others who want to study music and be a part of the amazing performing arts community of Classical Music. I derive great satisfaction from my student's progress and accomplishments and knowing that I have made an impact on their lives and on those with whom they interact as well.
I have been teaching music since I was 16 years old when I was appointed as the head of Music, Singing, Dance and Drama at a Summer Camp in Westchester County, NY.
My subsequent degrees in Music and Piano Performance from Yale University, the Yale School of Music and the Manhattan School of Music, provided me with a superb foundation to establish myself as a professional concert pianist and teacher.
I went on to win many international competitions and awards, toured internationally, and garnered numerous reviews for my live concerts and recordings.

She takes time to understand a student’s strengths and weaknesses to create a successful learning experience. She has been instrumental in elevating my daughter’s piano playing and performance.
