What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Access where the student is at. Ask them their goals and create a plan to help the student reach them. I try to help students learn the fundamentals well enough to be able to play and understand music of any style

I have a Master's degree in Music Performance (guitar) from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I usually charge 60$ for an hour or 30$ for a half hour
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching when I was 18 through a local music business. I taught there for 5 years and at Indiana for 5 years
What types of students have you worked with?
All kinds: classical, jazz, rock, etc. Many different students at many different levels

I went to a concert where my friends were performing
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Steady, consistent practice over a period of time will lead to results
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
How much time am I willing to practice, what kind of goals do I have for my playing, what style of music am I most interested in, etc.
