How did you get started teaching?
I didn’t originally plan on teaching; however, I had to take a class in pedagogy when I was in college. I ended up loving teaching, which changed my trajectory.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with small children up to elderly students in their 80’s. My students have been beginners through professionals. I have helped students get into prestigious collegiate programs such as Indiana University and Carnegie Mellon and obtain jobs in the industry. One of my students got a lead role in Disney channel movie from their first audition ever!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Today, a student played their completed voiceover reel for me, which he has been working on for quite a while. It was a proud moment for me! I am so excited to see where he goes from here!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Consider the teacher's qualifications, experience, teaching style, and student reviews. Additionally, prioritize finding someone who can tailor their approach to your specific goals and learning preferences. Find someone you are comfortable with, who challenges and motivates you.
