About
I've been a performing and studio musician spanning 43 years with accoiciated acts such as Brian May , Jeff Beck, Michael Schenker and the Canadian rock band April Wine. I've since started my own band Jimmy Humphrey and APX Rising with the band members Terry Bozzio on drums and Stuart Hamm on Bass. I started with the piano at age 6 and by the age of 10 began writing original music.
My true passion in music is the stage when I walk out to the audience and with the opening notes I see the fans captivated by what I'm doing and what's to come. I love being able to pass on the knowledge of Music I've aquired over the years , to see the look on the students faces when they realize they are doing the things they dreamed of doing.

jïmmy Humphrey has taken Jazz , Blues , Classical and Metal music styles and turned it into a very unique form that only a select few people have been willing to do to say Jimmy is this genre or that genre would simply be impossible . Jimmys playing style has brought the electric guitar to a place that will leave your mind trying to understand how he did it. We have watched him in numerous studio sessions and when we say I see what hes doing now Jimmy changes everything , we hope the level of intensity will last for a very long time !
