To those who have a love for music:
I have been playing the piano, organ, and keyboard since second grade. I later majored in music at Old Dominion University in Virginia. I received a Bachelor of Science-postgraduate teaching certificate in K-12 education. I have been teaching music in some way for over 20 years. Presently, I am teaching High School music in the local school system and before that I taught elementary music ed. I love teaching piano, music theory, and music composition (teaching you how to compose). I teach beginners and intermediate students. Remember though, it takes a lot of hard work, so there is no need to contact me if you aren't willing to put forth the effort.
I teach the very young to the very old.
I am a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, a music fraternity for Women, where I received the Sword of Honor Award. I was awarded a college scholarship in music composition. I also belong to the MENC (Musical Educator's National Conference).
