    Frequently asked questions

In my teaching, I am constantly working to make learning the piano engaging, educational, and most of all, fun. Additionally, I strive to make piano lessons a "safe space" where students can feel relaxed, supported, and comfortable. My main goals in teaching are to instill a strong work ethic in students while developing finely trained musical skills. This allows students to take what is learned in lessons, using the same skills and knowledge, to practice at home and on pieces that the student enjoys.
I have been teaching piano privately since 2017. From the Spring of 2021 through the Fall of 2024, I also taught through the Indianapolis Music Academy where I maintained a roster of 20-25 students per week. Beginning in the fall of 2024, I will be studying Jazz Piano Performance at The New School in New York, New York.
Lessons are conducted on a weekly basis either virtually (Zoom, Google Duo, Facebook Messenger Video, etc.) or in-person at the student's house or my teaching studio. Payments are collected at the beginning of each month (see Studio Policies and Information for more details). Payments can be made via check, Zelle, or Venmo. 30 Minutes - $50.00 per lesson 45 Minutes - $65.00 per lesson 60 Minutes - $80.00 per lesson Fee for In-Home Lessons Please inquire with address for pricing. In-home lessons are only available within Greenwich Village and surrounding neighborhoods of Manhattan, NYC. I feel that finances should never be a determining factor in whether or not a student can receive music lessons. As long as a student is showing strong work ethic, determination, and progress, I am willing to adjust the above rates for families going though financial hardship. Please feel free to email me at [email protected] if you would like to discuss this.
At Pitch Perfect Piano Studio, we welcome all. We have experience teaching children with Autism Spectrum Disorders and physical disabilities. Occasionally, students have needs that we are unable to meet. In order to determine if our studio will be a good fit for you, please reach out with any questions or concerns you might have. The more we know about a student, the more we are able to help. We look forward to helping you on your piano journey!
