I am a retired school music teacher, and I have worked teaching private lessons in voice and piano for over 34 years. I taught choir and general music in the following school corporations: US Department of Defense Schools, Hamilton Southeastern, Brownsburg, Zionsville, and DePauw University.

In college, I majored in voice and minored in piano. I have additional certification in the, "Teaching Guitar" courses from Vandercook College of Music.  I have directed church choirs for adults and youth for many years.

My primary instruments are: Piano, Voice, and Beginning Guitar.

I love my students, and I teach musically fundamental skills meant to help them be functional musicians their entire lives. All potential voice students must be able to match pitch.

My students participate in the Indiana Arts Festival/Hendricks County events, as well as a May recital. Many of my voice students participate in musical theatre and show choir productions.

I currently charge $30 per lesson with tuition being paid the first week of the month. One make-up lesson is available per semester. My studio is often full, but I occasionally have openings. Contact me any time, regardless.

My studio policy is available for you to see once we start to communicate.

Private lessons are a special thing. There are fewer and fewer private music teachers available each year, and the opportunity should be taken seriously by the child and family as we start a very special relationship together. I cherish my music students.

ART - CHILDREN'S ART CLASSES (Drawing, Painting, Ceramics - Studio Art Lessons)

I am a lifelong artist and musician and own Childrens Art Classes school in Brownsburg. Children's Art Classes is a national art school with an award-winning curriculum. It is a 9-month weekly art lesson format. We have a staff of professional artists that teach ages 5-18.

If your child loves to draw, and has the desire to learn about art techniques, we are the place to get professional lessons. Just like piano lessons, our weekly art lessons help develop art skills for young artists in over 40 areas of art. Many of our artists are pre-teens and teens utilizing our rigorous Art 1, and Art 2 curriculum. Kids aged 5-9 enjoy the very creative exploratory courses of Beginning Art and Introduction to Art.

CAC is a VERY unique and special place where LOTS of great things are happening as we start our 2nd year being open! Come, be a part of it! You may also schedule a private tour if you want to see the curriculum and facility in person!
