I'm always thrilled to meet to guitar students! My primary speciality is classical guitar. It's a wonder to explore new and old methods. We will look at new ideas in guitar technique as well as dig through centuries-old tomes of ancient guitar wisdom to conjure up a forgotten melody ;)

I also play and teach many other techniques: jazz, blues, folk, rock, prog-rock, metal, and Renaissance lute! (I perform as part of the ren-faire duo, The Lute and the Lady). Niche genres like Celtic, Spanish, Mariachi, Bossa Nova are also welcome -- even if it's new to me (shoegaze?), I can help you explore your musical passion.

If you want to learn to sing whilst playing guitar, I will absolutely help you find your way to unlocking the necessary coordination, and if you require advanced vocal training, I will refer to you to a proven master.

I can also help you explore computer music tech, midi, loopers, sequencers, etc... it just depends on what you want to try.

Theory and musicology are also available for tutoring. I teach from the beginning notation and chords through graduate-school level harmony and compound metres. I can also help with music history projects and composition.
