Easy to work with and has a great understanding of music theory

My son had taken piano lessons from 3 different teachers. They would hand him a book and he would begrudgingly learn to play On Top of Old Smokey and other traditional selections. He really didnt care for these lessons, practiced under parental pressure only, and eventually the lessons stopped. But we decided to give it one more try. After weeding through our options, we settled on meeting with Josh. Josh is a consummate professional. His perspective on teaching music is unique. He tailors music choices to the learner. For instance, my son has learned to play Moonlight Sonata (what a beautiful piece), but he has also learned how to play the theme to the Skyrim video game (a triumphant sounding piece). He teaches how to put your own spin on the music you love. He is nothing short of an incredible teacher with a depth of appreciation for music. Hire him. Work with him for a few lessons. I promise you will never regret it for a second. I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about Josh. We wouldnt go to anyone else!
