What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
After teaching music in various capacities in different locations since the year 2000, Innovative Music Studio was started in November of 2014 in the Valparaiso area. Starting as a one-room studio in my home with a handful of students, we now have our own large studio space and provide in-person lessons and live-streaming online lessons to students in Northwest Indiana!

Monthly Tuition:
Private Lessons - 30 minutes a week - $135/month
Duo (2-student) Lessons - 30 minutes a week - $83/month
Deluxe (2-student) Lessons - 60 minutes a week - $103/month
What types of students have you worked with?
We specialize in teaching children of all ages. We use technology and interactive games and activities to help the student visualize musical concepts. Often this will include the student getting off the piano bench and moving to the music, using their favorite color crayons to draw the musical symbols that we are learning, or jumping on our life-size treble and bass staff!
We also have amazing adult students who enjoy learning music at our studio! We focus on their goals and the genre of music that they are interested in learning!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
We host fun performance opportunities almost every month! Our studio serves as a great venue for talent shows where students can build their confidence. Once a year, we have a big recital at a local church and we welcome the students family and friends to attend!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find a teacher who is very skilled in their instrument and who is interested in helping you achieve your goals in learning music!
