What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We always have a welcome meeting with parent/s and students and talk about future studies and what part students and parents have in creating a fun and learning atmosphere both here and at home.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor of Music from UMKC Conservatory. Taught children's choir, church musician, etc. Also, have some college training in strings, but not qualified to teach strings. Member of Federated Teachers of Music, and Kansas City Music Teachers' Assoc. and past president of each organization. Also, minored in organ in college.

95.00/mo. No lessons in June, July, December, January, and there is no charge for these months. Makeup lessons for lessons missed are available if time permits.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching students at church when I was 16. My university teacher reccommended that I get a degree in piano pedagogy which I received from the University of Missouri Conservatory of Music.
What types of students have you worked with?
Ages 4-85. I also have a downs syndrome student.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Multi-piano concerts at the Nazarene univ. Keyboard Merit competitions in spring. Grades K-3 have music parties and recitals, grades 4-12 have competitions and recitals.
