I own Yeh-Myers Music studio, and have over 20 years teaching experience. I’m a certified piano instructor by the American College of Musicians, National Piano Guild. I send kids to many festivals and competition throughout the year and they received numerous competitions. I can help your children develop a successful technique.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Usually, I begin to develop ease of hand movements analyze motor skills, and direct the student to the repertoire that is appropriate to their level. Reading is very important so I will use a lesson plan that entails a few short pieces to play that will address the technique and reinforce with theory lessons for the last part of the lesson.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I Have a Master Degree in Music
How did you get started teaching?
While working as a studio musician I was approached by a colleague that needed another piano/composition teacher in his studio. I found out that I actually did really well with young students and really loved going to teach. Not long after that, I started my studio and joined with Emily Ying-Yu Yeh. Together we formed Yeh-Myers Studios.
