My teaching approach:
My teaching approach involves being laid back but persistent in my teachings. The effort being put in by the students will be matched by myself.Students have also found that some hard work initially leads to great rewards in the long run. A little bit of drive and patience by the students makes success a guarantee. My influences are:
Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Jack White, 80's Shred Rock, Iron & WineMy guitar lessons take place in:

My intro lesson involves a brief meet and greet. Find out the students skill level through a series of chord change requests from myself and period of time for the student to "Show Off". Once the show off time is over I will begin where I see fit for each student.A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:
A normal lesson will start with the homework that was assigned, whether that is chord change progress or new chords for beginners to scales and advanced chords for intermediates. After the beginning we would go into finger drills, left or right hand, depending on the progress of the student. Once the drills are ran through this is the time the student would have for theory question and play alongs with myself, ranging from chords progressions for beginners to scales and playing them over chord progressions later. When the lesson is drawing to a close I will assign the homework that I see fit.The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:
The ideal students that I have taught were the ones that were not scared to ask question, had a passion for learning, and also practiced on their own out side of practice time.
