No genera is out of reach!
I LOVE teaching! Seeing people come to that "ohhhhh!" moment! And encouraging people to push past the "ugggg" moments. I get so much fulfillment out of their journey!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We start with a type of placement test. I get to know your goals as a musician so that I can frame the lessons for the next few weeks. We come back to this test to see how we have progessed, to celebrate the wins!!!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken lessons on and off for most of my life, but my real training has been practice and experience! As a band leader, I've played with so many people and picked up so much. It may not be "classical" training, but I KNOW what I teach!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
1 hour lessons - $45
30 minute lessons - $25
12 week commitment 30 minutes a week - $20
How did you get started teaching?
I walked into a guitar store and asked if they needed teachers! After my first student, I fell in LOVE with teaching!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught ages ranging from 7 to 75! I have taught electric and acoustic, also bass. I am best with beginner to intermediate players. To start off with no knowledge and lots of excitement, then see the mind expand and the excitement grow! I love teaching!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Driving in the mountains! Arizona is beautiful!!!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone you vibe with...if they push too hard, you will burn out, not hard enough and you will get bored! Find someone fun, someone who enjoys playing and teaching.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Think about where you want to be! Think about how much time you are willing to commit. A teacher can give you 150% effort, but YOU are the only one who can reach your goals!
