About
Founded in 2004, Springfield Music has become a hub for musicians of all ages and influence. Springfield Music is Kansas City’s premiere location for music lessons, sales and repair of musical equipment and for promoting and helping local bands to network amongst themselves. Professionals, hobbyists and beginning musicians of all ages come in our store for events, lessons, to purchase instruments and PA equipment, to browse inventory and to speak with others of the same mind set.
We offer Guitars, Drums, Amps, PA Gear, Home Recording Gear, and Accessories, both New & Used, for buy, sell, trade or rental. We have an extensive lesson program for ALL instruments including private lessons, classes, clinics, and Rock Band workshops, as well as a service department experienced in repairs on ALL instruments.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
A first lesson with us is generally about the instructor getting an understanding of what the student knows, or needs to know to continue developing their musical abilities.
We are proud to have a student led cirriculum, meaning that if there is something that the student would like to learn, we will teach it! This includes learning all of the fundmentals to get to that point successfully.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our teaching staff is full of amazingly qualified instructors whom are professionally trained with degrees, and/or are professional performing musicians.
