I've had a passion for music from a very early age. I've been studying and playing guitar for over 40 years. I have a Masters degree in performance. I have competed at the international level and performed throughout the United States, Europe, and South America.I teach all levels and ages. I have been teaching at the college level for 20 years. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first thing I do when working with a new student is to evaluate there skill level. From there, we will work on exercises and music at their skill level. I instill into my students not only practice, but how to you practice effectively.

I would ask the teacher about their music education, experience, and teaching philosophy.
