Art Is Fun!
About
Is your kid bored? Do they want to have fun? Well, why not do some art!
my background:
University of Kentucky
Bachelors Degree/BA in Art Studio, Minor in Psychology
I have independently worked with troubled children and have helped out at the University of Kentucky's "See Art Day" I'm very eager to try my hand at online tutoring!
My main focus/dicipline is performance art, a genre of art that involves ALL grenes! Basically: singing, dancing, acting, videos, painting, drawing, sculpting, anything involves an audience.
Its a good way to help kids blow off some steam and to see things from new perspectives. It gives them enough creative control to explore art, while also giving them a path.
With my methods I am very left-brained and driven by creativity. I'm about looking within ones self and pulling out things you can't explain with words. However, I can work traditionally and foster good study habits!
I also have a solid understanding of psychology and psychological processes!
Other details about my hobbies/goals/aspirations:
I'm a multi-instrumentalist (basic training, high school band, self taught), longboarder, and model horse enthusiast.
My goals for the future is to go to graduate school for Art Therapy.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My favorite warm up exercize to do is to start out basic: drawing a picture. While drawing, I ask them questions about themselves, observe their verbal and non verbal cues, and assess how they learn.
Its a great way to get them to open up!
