Piano lesson your child will thank you for! Students love lessons at my studio! I'm a retired public school music educator who has taught general music, choral, piano labs, band, music technology, music theory, arranging, composition, ear training, a Capella and Drama to all ages, preschool through University! I have a Bachelor in Music Education with a Certification in Piano Pedagogy from the University of North Texas, I have my Masters in Piano Performance from the University of Kentucky with continued Doctoral study in Music Education and Music Theory! I teach KidzRock classes and I'm the only legacy licensed KiddyKeys teacher in the state of Kentucky. KiddyKeys is the premier preschool piano program in the nation! I also teach The Ultimate Music Theory classes which are aligned with the RCM Exams (Royal Conservatory of Music). I am a professional musician, having played in contemporary bands throughout my career. I've played keyboards and vocals in bands for decades! I've accompanied multiple choirs including the Kentucky Music Educators Allstate Honors Choirs! Many of my students have gone on to become professional musicians and studied music at the University level. I have had students who have been on the Voice. Many of my students audition for multiple shows every season. Two of my previous students recently signed in Nashville!
I love to instill my love of music in my students! I play and have played multiple instruments throughout my career including Organ, Piano, Voice, Guitar, Saxophone, Ukulele, Flute, Bass, Drums and Percussion.
I have new Ultimate Music Theory classes beginning in May. I'm really excited to offer these classes!
It's a 6-week Music Theory class, and the materials we'll use are outstanding. Just 4 to 6 students per class, so it will fill quickly. I'll open additional classes if needed. There are 3 different levels offered. They are Basic Rudiments, Prep 1, and Prep 2. I have an entry quiz for each student to gage which section they should begin with. We will order student books with completion of the entry quiz and registration for classes. These classes fall in line with RCM Exams, so they go to a high level!
š¶ š¹ My Ultimate Music Theory club classes are an amazing way to learn about Music Theory. š¼ These fun and engaging 60-minute classes meet online weekly for 6 weeks on Tuesdays or Wednesdays at 7:30 pm or Fridays at 10:00 am or Saturdays at 10:45 am or 1:00 pm.
