About this pro

I have been working with students as a Chorus teacher for 15 years and I really enjoy working with students one on one. I use a  method book to teach piano and vary depending on the students age. I also supplement with other songs the students are interested in playing. For voice students I try to do songs the students are interested in singing and work on the techniques the song requires. I would love to have more students and hold recitals to showcase their hard work. I started giving lessons last year in my home, and I’ve worked with several students. At this time I have 4 students but I would love to have more.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I will spend time talking with them about their goals for lessons and find out if they have any experience. Then I determine if they should start at their level and continue from there.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have a bachelor degree in vocal performance, church music, and music education. I also have a minor in piano performance. I have been teaching Chorus for 15 years.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

I charge $70 per month and it doesn't matter if it is a 4 week month or 5 week month.

How did you get started teaching?

I sent some fliers to churches in my area and posted my flier at the post office.

What types of students have you worked with?

Too many to count!

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Find someone who challenges you to always do better.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

How much effort and time are they willing to put in, because the outcome will be best if they are willing to work hard.
