Amanda Pitts

I have played flute, piccolo, and piano for over 20 years. I am classically trained and attended Southeastern Louisiana University for Music Performance. I enjoy working with both children and adults to improve their tone quality, embouchure, technique, articulation, intonation, dynamics, sight-reading, and everything else that comes along on the musical journey. My flute/piccolo students will learn posture, stage etiquette, embouchure, air support, lip flexibility, tone quality, intonation, dynamics, technique, articulation, phrasing, theory and have a better understanding of music in general. I always try to keep my students motivated and keep them focused while enjoying the lesson.

My piano students will learn proper posture, finger numbers, chords, scales, songs up to their level, music theory, dynamics, phrasing, rhythm, sight-reading, and more. I always make sure to keep lessons interesting and enjoyable while learning the necessary skills.
