About

I teach a basics gentle flow class to help you gain strength, increase flexibility and gain better peace of mind. I give specific cues to guide you from one pose to the next. I do not let students go beyond where their bodies are capable. As body awarenes and regular practice continues you'll learn how to better take care of you, making you happier both on and off the mat.

I have been practicing regularly for the past twenty years and became certified to teach about 5 years ago. I teach both public and private sessions. Fortunate to have so many regulars that first started with me and continue to this day.

I love to see people rediscovering thier bodies and building upon the tools they learn in practice. My students tell me how much better they feel both physically and mentally. I am fortunate to have so many of my beginning students continue to practice with me to this day.

Rachel has a great sense of pacing and flow to her sessions; they feel less like a physical practice and more like a welcome, timeless pause in which I reconnect mind and body. I never feel rushed through poses.
Often, Rachel emphasizes to her classes this is your practice, which I find helps me focus on the total experience rather than just how far I can bend or whether I can achieve a textbook pose. Shes also brilliant at helping us adapt our practice to each students abilities and needs so the classes offer just the right amount of challenge to people at different levels of strength and flexibility.
Id taken yoga years ago and loved it; with Rachel, Im rediscovering that love and finding deeper joy in the practice. Im grateful to have found her!

Whenever I attend a yoga workshop or class with Rachel, I always learn something new. Rachel not only teaches yoga poses, but how to grow spiritually.

I first discovered yoga about 40 years, began practicing regularly about 20 years ago and became certified to teach about five years ago.  During this time, I have trained with International Yogini Kali Ray, Senior TriYoga trainers and Master Yoga teacher, Laura Ates.   I continue my training with master teachers from all over the country.

Pricing depends upon the location, attendance and types of class desired.  Wide range.

I would subsititue teach from time to time. I created a small group of friends to begin practicing with while in teacher training. I also practiced with a small core of teachers in training helping us all hone our skills. My teacher passed along my first offical teaching opportunity and this group and location continue to this day.

I led the morning yoga sessions at a national conference held in Chicago and at a statwide conference held in October in Baton Rouge, La.
